Encryption and security controls

European Union regulatory obligations
The EU Artificial Intelligence Act defines an emotion recognition system as an AI system intended to identify or infer natural persons' emotions or intentions from their biometric data 15. The regulation prohibits deploying AI systems to infer emotions of natural persons in workplace and education settings, except for medical or safety reasons 22.
