Also known as Webex CC.
Webex Contact Center is deployed in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and shares a global network of edge access services with Webex Calling, which the setup wizard calls Common Edge 13 17. An administrator configures the tenant with the Services setup wizard in Control Hub after a trial or subscription order 56.
Hosting, regions and data centers
The architecture article lists the Webex Contact Center regions as US-East (Northern Virginia), US-West (Northern California), Canada (Central), UK (London), Europe (Frankfurt) and Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore, India) 14. The data locality article lists data center locations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Australia, Japan and India 19. The Country of Operation chosen in the setup wizard's Contact Center tab decides which data center hosts the tenant, because the system creates the tenant in the data center closest to that country 18.
Tenant setup and administration
After a trial or subscription order, an administrator configures the contact center tenant with the Services setup wizard in Control Hub (admin.webex.com) 56. The wizard appears on every Control Hub visit until setup completes successfully 56. Control Hub can add contact center users manually (up to 25 at a time), by CSV (up to 1,000 users) or by automatic license assignment of a Standard or Premium license 6. In Control Hub, the Supervisor role can reach only business hours, which covers shifts, holidays and overrides 55.
Voice channels and PSTN options
The next generation media platform is the default for all new Webex Contact Center trials and subscriptions during activation 41.
- Webex Contact Center PSTN is sold by Cisco as a bundle with Webex Contact Center and is available only to customers in the contiguous United States and Canada 43.
- Webex Cloud Connected PSTN (CCP) provides connectivity in over 65 countries through Certified Calling Providers 45.
- The Webex Calling Local Gateway lets a customer keep its existing on-premises PSTN carrier, with access in over 140 markets 46.
- Cisco Calling Plans are listed as a bundled PSTN option for Webex Contact Center voice channels 44.
Digital channels
Digital channels for Webex Contact Center are configured through Webex Connect: Facebook Messenger, live chat, email, SMS, Apple Messages for Business and WhatsApp 21. Flows for these channels are built in Webex Connect rather than in Flow Designer 21.
Agent Desktop
Agent Desktop is a micro-frontend single-page application that hosts widgets built on a web components architecture 7. The minimum supported browsers are Chrome 144+, Microsoft Edge 144+ and Firefox 140+, and Cisco recommends the latest stable versions 48. Agent Desktop needs at least 4 GB of RAM, and 8 GB or more is recommended 51. Agent Desktop is supported on VDI, but WebRTC (browser-based agent audio) is not supported on VDI 52.
Flow Designer
Flow Designer has no version control feature 24. The flow version number counts how many times the flow has been published, and version labels can be applied 24. Undo and redo cover the last 10 canvas actions 26. Flow Designer enforces self-loop limits per activity: 100 for Queue Contact, 1,500 for Advanced Queue Information and 750 for Escalate Call Distribution Group 35.

License consumption
For concurrent-agent licensing, usage is the highest number of agents signed in at the same time 27. An agent counts toward concurrent usage if signed in for at least 1 minute in each of 4 consecutive 15-minute sampling periods 27. For named-agent licensing, 1 license counts for every agent who signs in during the month, measured from the subscription billing date 28. In 1 billing cycle an agent counts as 1 license, and an agent who counts as Premium at any point in that cycle counts as Premium for the whole cycle 29. Premium licenses can stand in for Standard licenses to reduce Standard overage 29.
API access
Webex Contact Center API integrations use scopes such as cjp:config and cjp:config_read 9. A Cisco developer blog's example endpoint is on the US1 host api.wxcc-us1.cisco.com 9. A 2024 Cisco developer blog says OAuth integration access tokens expire after 14 days and refresh tokens after 90 days, and that refreshing the access token restarts the refresh token's 90-day window 10.
Webex AI Agent transparency disclosure
Webex AI Agent can play an AI transparency disclosure on voice channels that callers cannot interrupt and that plays before the welcome message 5. The disclosure is configured at the AI agent level and applies to both scripted and autonomous AI agents 1. On digital channels, the transparency note is shown once at the start of the AI-agent session with the first AI-generated response 2. In European regions the disclosure is enabled by default, and administrators who disable it must acknowledge the risks and add audit comments before opting out 3. Outside European regions, administrators choose whether to enable the disclosure and can configure its message, and Cisco recommends enabling it as a best practice 4.

Applicability
Applies to: Cisco Webex AI Agent (Webex Contact Center), Cisco Webex Contact Center, and Cisco Webex Contact Center APIs. Deployments: multi-tenant. Sources checked 2026-09-30. Webex Contact Center PSTN is available only to customers in the contiguous United States and Canada 43. The default-on AI transparency disclosure applies to European regions 3. The minimum Agent Desktop browser versions are Chrome 144+, Microsoft Edge 144+ and Firefox 140+ 48. The token lifetimes come from a 2024 Cisco developer blog 10.
