Webex Calling call park
Verified 2026-09-15 · 27 claims · sources tier 2 · 3 disputed
Also known as Call Park Direct, Call Park Group, Recall Timer.
Webex Calling call park provides 2 modes: Call Park Direct, which parks against a chosen user extension or call park extension, and Call Park Group, which parks against the first available destination in a group 23. The park codes are *68 for Call Park Direct, #58 for Call Park Group, and *88 to retrieve a call in either mode 11.
How it works
Only 1 call may be parked at a call park extension 15. When parking with Call Park Group, hunting always starts at the first assigned destination rather than distributing across destinations 12. Any user in the organisation can retrieve a parked call by dialling the retrieve code and the extension, meaning retrieval is not restricted to the parking user or to members of the group 18.
The ring pattern, recall timer, and alert hunt group wait time are set once per location and apply to both park modes 22. The recall timer is entered in seconds, and neither call park article gives it a default value or a permitted range 17. The alert hunt group wait time is also entered in seconds with no default and no range 8.
A call park group recalls to 1 of 3 destinations: the parking user only, the parking user then a hunt group, or a hunt group only 21. In the field, the recall concept is labelled "Recall To" when configuring a call park group and "Recall options for directed call park" when configuring a location, and no source states that the 2 labels are equivalent 16.
In the field, the "Park and unpark calls" documentation scopes itself in its first sentence to the Cisco Video Phone 8875 registered to Cisco BroadWorks or Webex Calling, and never mentions recall or call park groups 20.
Limits and provisioning
- A user may belong to only 1 call park group, a group may hold users from only 1 site, and a site may hold several groups 13.
- A location may hold up to 100 call park extensions 10.
- A bulk upload may add up to 1000 extensions at a time 10.
- Neither call park article gives a minimum or maximum digit length for a call park extension, and the word "digit" does not occur in either 14.
Sources disagree on the call park group import file limit: it is capped at 1000 rows in 2 places, while a bulk creation step describes a maximum of more than 10000 rows for each file 9.
Neither call park article mentions call detail records, reporting, call history, or a correlation identifier, with those terms occurring 0 times in both 19.
