Webex Calling analytics in Control Hub
Verified 2026-09-25 · 54 sources · tier 2 · 1 superseded
Webex Calling analytics provide operational dashboards, historical reporting, call records, and troubleshooting metrics directly inside Cisco Control Hub 21547. These tools evaluate calling patterns and media quality across tenant endpoints and services 1537.
Analytics dashboards
Webex Calling analytics are viewed in Control Hub under Analytics by selecting the Calling data 2. A full administrator, read-only administrator, or support administrator of the organization can view Control Hub analytics 54. Control Hub Calling analytics do not capture data for calls based in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Dedicated Instance, or Webex Cloud-Connected UC 22.
The Calling analytics in Control Hub are organised into Media Quality, Call Queue, Detailed Call History, Auto-Attendant and Hunt Group sections 15. Control Hub analytics data other than Meetings is batch-processed daily and made available within 24 hours, with metrics available by 1:00 PM GMT the next day 14.
Without Pro Pack, Control Hub Calling analytics give access to 3 months of historical data 26. With Pro Pack, Control Hub Calling analytics give access to 13 months of historical data 25. Starting January 27, 2026, the maximum date range selectable at once in Control Hub Analytics is 3 months, while 13 months of historical data remain accessible across multiple queries 32. An analytics chart or list is exported from its More button as PDF, PNG, or CSV, with available formats depending on whether it is a graph or a list 11.
Media quality thresholds and metrics
A single Webex Calling call can have several call legs depending on its participants, and each call leg can have 1, several, or no media sessions 3. The Media Quality section reports Total calls (all Webex Calling calls) and Calls with media (calls that had 1 or more media sessions) as KPIs 34. In Calling Media Quality analytics, a media session counts as good if both its audio and video streams had jitter below 150 ms, latency below 400 ms, and packet loss below 5% 24.
Detailed call history and queue views
The Detailed Call History section shows individual call records for the selected filters and date range, presenting 5 KPIs: Total Calls, External Calls, Answered Calls, Calls in Busiest Location, and Webex Calling Active Users 17.
Call Queue analytics include both live and historical views 31. Data for the live queue stats section is collected every 30 seconds 31.
Calling Insights alert
Calling Insight is an email alert managed under Alerts center > Rules that summarises the percentage of poor-quality Webex Calling calls and the connection types used, and links to Calling analytics 28. As documented in September 2024, when the feature was in beta, the Calling Insight alert is sent by default to all full administrators weekly on Mondays around 13:00 UTC 30. Full administrators can change the schedule to bi-weekly or monthly, or disable the alert 30. As of its September 2024 update, the Calling Insights feature was in beta and required signing up through beta.webex.com 29.
Control Hub reports
Control Hub reports can be generated immediately or scheduled to run daily, weekly, or monthly, producing ZIP or CSV files 38. Generating Control Hub reports through the API requires Pro Pack 44. Report data capture is based on UTC, and the previous day's data takes about 8 hours to appear, around 8:00 UTC 42.
Several reports cover Calling data:
- Calling Media Quality Report: Gives per-call-leg details, including jitter, packet loss, latency, codec, and connection type, for call legs with an established Webex Calling or Call on Webex media session 13. A call leg appears only if it established a media connection for at least 10 seconds 12. The Calling Engagement and Calling Quality reports were retired on April 28, 2026, and the Calling Media Quality report is the stated replacement for similar data 46.
- Calling Detailed Call History Report: Pro Pack users can access 400 days of past data, while standard users can access 89 days 19.
- Telephone Number Report: Gives a consolidated view of the organization's entire current inventory of Webex Calling telephone numbers and extensions 40.
- Calling Connectivity Report: Shows Webex Calling connectivity status for the organization's users across endpoints 37.
Troubleshooting individual calls
The Control Hub troubleshooting view for Webex Calling, located under Monitoring > Troubleshooting, shows individual calls from the past 21 days 47. Using this troubleshooting view requires the full admin, read-only admin, or support admin role in Control Hub 52.
Calls can be searched by email address, phone number, MAC address, call ID, or correlation ID 53. Partial search is supported for phone numbers, user names, and device names 53.
The troubleshooting view uses two sets of quality thresholds to assess performance:
- Endpoint experience: Rated good when packet loss is under 5%, round-trip latency is under 400 ms, and jitter is under 150 ms 49.
- Media relay point: Rated good when packet loss is under 2.5%, round-trip latency is under 200 ms, and jitter is under 75 ms 51.
CDR compliance and APIs
By default, Webex Calling call detail records (CDRs) have a 400-day (13-month) retention policy 7. Webex Calling CDR compliance retention is 13 months outside the European Union and 6 months for European Union countries 6.
Programmatic CDR extraction is supported through two dedicated endpoints, as well as the reports API:
- CDR Feed API (
/v1/cdr_feed): Can be queried starting 5 minutes after a call ends, covers up to 30 days of data, and allows at most a 12-hour window per request keyed on the call start time 8. - CDR Stream API (
/v1/cdr_stream): Cisco's recommended primary API for continuous CDR consumption 10. It is keyed on database write time, queryable about 1 minute after a call, limited to a 2-hour window per request, retains 12 hours of data, and backfills late records 10. - Historical reporting (
/v1/reports): For historical CDR reporting beyond 30 days, Cisco directs developers to the/v1/reportsendpoint rather than the CDR Feed 5.
The Webex Calling CDR APIs require the spark-admin:calling_cdr_read scope and the "Webex Calling Detailed Call History API access" administrator role 4. These APIs return between 500 and 5000 records per page 9.
