At Cisco Live 2024 Cisco presented VPOP as the legacy telephony integration for Webex Contact Center, recommended Common Edge configuration for new customers, stated that new VPOP deployments would be by exception, and said new media regions would provide Common Edge support only with no new VPOP locations.
