Inbound calls reach a Teams user or resource account by Reverse Number Lookup on an exactly matching assigned number; for Direct Routing the number value can be 3 to 38 digits, and if an extension is assigned the inbound dialed number must include it, otherwise the call fails or follows unassigned number routing.
