Source note · Modernizing a DTMF IVR to conversational AI
Microsoft recommends per-question DTMF mapping over a global DTMF-only setting (System.Conversation.OnlyAllowDTMF) in Copilot Studio, because informational messages sent while DTMF-only mode is on can produce an empty DTMF grammar and telephony errors.
