Under 47 CFR 7.5, equipment manufacturers and telecommunications service providers must make voicemail and interactive menu functions accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities if readily achievable, and otherwise compatible with peripheral devices or specialised CPE commonly used by people with disabilities.
