Source note · IPv6 for voice and UC platforms
RFC 5954 (August 2010) updates RFC 3261 by replacing SIP's flawed IPv6 address ABNF with the RFC 3986 grammar, which removes the extra-colon bug that allowed forms such as [2001:db8:::192.0.2.1].
