Teams 'coexistence modes' (Islands, Skype for Business only, the two Skype for Business with Teams modes, and Teams only) describe coexistence between Skype for Business and Teams, not with a third-party PBX; modes other than Teams Only can be applied only to users homed in Skype for Business Server on-premises.
