Microsoft's recommended Direct Routing onboarding order is: review infrastructure, networking and licensing; select a certified SBC; configure DNS, certificates, firewall and connectivity; connect the SBC to Teams; configure voice routing and dial plans; assign Teams Phone licenses and voice routing policies; validate and expand.
