# Webex Contact Center provisioning through Partner Hub

Partners reach Partner Hub at https://admin.webex.com, where they manage all their customers after placing orders in Cisco Commerce Workspace[^13]. Partners can also start a Webex Contact Center trial for a customer from Partner Hub as a self-service flow without manual Cisco approval[^54].

## Partner roles and customer access

Starting a customer trial in Partner Hub requires a partner user with the sales administrator or sales full administrator role[^56]. The partner administrator roles in Partner Hub include Partner Full Administrator, Partner Administrator, and Partner Read-Only Administrator, each with a different scope[^30][^29][^31].

| Partner role | Scope |
|---|---|
| Partner Full Administrator | Manages settings for all customers the partner manages, assigns admin roles, and designates which customers other partner administrators manage[^30] |
| Partner Administrator | Manages settings only for customers they provisioned themselves or that have been assigned to them[^29] |
| Partner Read-Only Administrator | Views settings for all customers the partner manages but cannot edit them[^31] |

A partner full administrator assigns customers to a partner administrator by selecting that administrator and entering the customer organization name or ID under Managing Customer Organizations[^28]. Partner administrators who reach a customer only through a Partner Hub customer group get Webex Suite access but no Webex Contact Center access unless they are also directly assigned to that customer[^10].

The Partner Hub customer list shows these statuses: Trial, Subscription, Expiring soon, License overage, No recent activity, Ready for order setup, Suspended and Expired[^11]. A partner opens a customer's Control Hub with the Launch organization icon at the end of the customer's row[^12]. Launching a customer's Control Hub implicitly grants the partner administrator the provisioning administrator role[^26]. A provisioning administrator can provision orders, view licenses and upgrades, manage Webex sites and locations, and troubleshoot, but only for the services the partner sold to that customer[^27].

A customer administrator can ask to change a partner organization's access level, either full administrator or provisioning administrator, in Control Hub under Users then Partner administrators[^2]. The partner then approves or denies the request[^2].

## Self-service trials

Cisco rolled out the Webex Contact Center self-service trial experience to partners in phases[^40]. Partners without access are told to ask their Cisco Contact Center sales representative for it[^40]. WarmTransfer's reading of the sources is that Contact Center trials use the separate self-service trial flow, not the generic Partner Hub Start Trial wizard for Webex Suite services[^42].

### Eligibility and edition

Self-service trials can be provisioned only on Flex 3.0[^50]. A trial cannot be downgraded from Flex 3.0 to Flex 2.0[^52]. A trial can be provisioned to a new or existing organization only if that organization has no active contact center trial or subscription[^47].

### Duration and extension

A self-service trial can run for 30, 60 or 90 days[^51]. To extend a trial, the partner selects additional days for it in Partner Hub and saves the change[^49].

### What a trial includes

During a self-service trial, Webex Calling is the only voice option that can be provisioned[^59]. Voice POPs are not available in a trial, and the trial must be reprovisioned as Webex Calling instead[^53]. A trial includes Cisco Calling Plan in some countries, but Cisco states that this is not officially supported for the trial[^41].

A self-service trial includes 150 US dollars of utilization cost for the SMS and WhatsApp channels[^55]. Obtaining US 10-digit long code numbers for SMS and WhatsApp in a trial takes between 5 and 10 weeks[^58].

A self-service trial does not include Webex Workforce Optimization, extra storage, additional IVR ports or campaign management[^48].

### Reprovisioning and support

To reprovision a trial, for example to add Google CCAI, the partner goes to Partner Hub and opens the customer[^43]. From there the partner opens Trials, then Manage trial, then Complete Order Setup, and clicks Provision[^43]. The Webex Calling Partner Help Desk, which also handles Webex Contact Center inquiries, is the only support channel for Webex Contact Center trials[^57].

### Converting a trial to paid

A trial is converted to paid by submitting an order in Cisco Commerce Workspace, which adds the paid subscription to the customer's existing organization[^46]. The partner completes the A2Q after submitting the order[^44]. Any Cisco Calling Plan phone numbers used in the trial must be deleted and replaced with a supported alternative[^45]. When the subscription is mapped to an existing trial tenant, the partner must enter the same customer administrator email that was used when the trial was created[^24].

## Paid orders

A partner places a Webex Contact Center order for a customer using the A-CJP or A-FLEX-CC SKU[^23]. The order in Cisco Commerce Workspace must carry a Requested Start Date and a Provisioning Contact Email[^15]. Cisco recommends using the partner's Control Hub administrator or sales administrator account as the Provisioning Contact Email[^20]. The Webex Contact Center documentation index points partners to the Cisco Webex Contact Center Ordering Guide and the Flex Plan Contact Center Ordering Guide for ordering[^4]. For tenant provisioning, the same index points to the order and get-started articles[^4].

### Order Set-Up wizard

On the Requested Start Date, Cisco emails the provisioning contact a Set Up Now link that opens the Order Set-Up wizard for the tenant[^22]. A partner who is doing the setup chooses I am a Partner to indicate their role[^25]. If the partner selects The customer will set up instead, the partner will not have access to manage the customer organization[^17].

For a new Webex organization, the partner confirms the customer details[^19]. When the order maps to an existing organization, the partner verifies that the displayed organization is the intended one[^19].

The country chosen in the wizard must be one where Webex Contact Center sales are authorized under the geographic terms of the Flex Plan Contact Center offer description[^16]. The Webex Contact Center country of operation defaults to the organization country selected earlier and can be changed in the wizard if needed[^14]. For Webex orders set up through the Order Set-Up wizard, clicking Provision activates the subscription and starts billing[^21]. Cisco recommends that partners complete the customer organization setup before they hand contact-center-specific administration to customer administrators[^18].

## Services setup wizard

The services setup wizard has four stages: Summary, Calling setup, Contact Center setup, and Review[^38]. Partner administrators reach services setup through one entry point for a trial and another for a paid subscription[^37][^36].

- For a trial, a partner administrator answers Yes to Do you want to set up the services for the customer at the end of the Start New Trial wizard[^37].
- For a paid subscription, a partner administrator maps the order and then clicks Next[^36].

A customer administrator of a newly provisioned organization receives a Welcome email with a Get Started link, then sets a password and accepts the Terms of Service to reach Control Hub[^34].

Webex Contact Center creates the tenant in the data center that corresponds to the country of operation chosen at setup[^35]. The country of operation cannot be changed after it is confirmed in the services setup wizard[^33]. We infer that the country of operation, and therefore the tenant's data center, can be adjusted only inside the setup wizard before confirmation, and that the partner cannot correct a wrong choice after confirmation[^1]. The telephony section of the setup wizard shows connectivity through Common Edge, the edge infrastructure shared by Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center[^32].

## Flex 3.0 Contact Center licensing points

Cisco Collaboration Flex 3.0 Contact Center offers 2 buying models[^8]:

- Concurrent Agent is based on the maximum number of contact center users logged in at the same time[^8].
- Named Agent is based on each unique user who logs in during a month[^8].

The Named Agent buying model applies only to Webex Contact Center[^7]. An Assessment-to-Quality (A2Q) must be completed before initial access to the products and again for design changes during the term[^5]. Supervisors and administrators always require a Premium Agent license[^9]. For cloud Flex 3.0 Contact Center deployments, agent overage is calculated monthly when the agents used exceed the purchased committed agents[^6].

## Diagnosing missing customers or access

If partner administrators cannot see a customer in their list, Cisco's first check is that the customer's full administrator received the Webex welcome email and signed in for the first time[^3]. Cisco's second check is that the partner has activated the provisioned service[^3]. If both checks pass, the partner opens a ticket in Customer Service Central[^3].

If a partner administrator can see a customer but has no Webex Contact Center access, check whether they reach that customer only through a customer group without a direct assignment[^10]. If the partner cannot manage the customer organization at all, check whether The customer will set up was selected in the Order Set-Up wizard[^17].
