# Webex Contact Center Analyzer and reporting model

Last verified: 2026-09-24

Webex Contact Center Analyzer mines real-time and historical data from multiple data sources and systems to generate business views of that data[^24]. Access to Analyzer requires Supervisor or Administrator privileges[^4].

## Reporting architecture and repositories

The Analyzer home page presents 4 repositories that summarise session and activity data captured for agents and customers: Customer Session Records (CSR), Customer Activity Records (CAR), Agent Session Records (ASR), and Agent Activity Records (AAR)[^28]. A CSR represents the overall customer workflow as a sequence of customer activities, while a CAR represents one atomic step in that customer workflow[^18][^11]. Similarly, an ASR represents the agent workflow as a sequence of agent activities, and an AAR represents one atomic step in that agent workflow[^9][^2].

Each AAR carries an `agentSessionId` UUID identifying the agent login session and a `taskId` UUID identifying the contact session the agent handled, linking agent activities to both ASR and CSR[^1]. In CSR documents, the `queueDuration` field records the time a contact waited in queue in milliseconds, `isContactHandled` provides a flag indicating whether an agent handled the contact, and fields record the last queue, last agent, and last entry point (`lastQueue`, `lastAgent`, `lastEntryPoint`) rather than only the first[^21][^19][^20]. WarmTransfer's reading of the sources is that contact-level KPIs should count session records (CSR) rather than activity records (CAR), because a CSR represents the entire customer workflow and a CAR represents a single step, matching the stock Average Handle Time calculation that divides by Count of Contact Session ID[^17].

In the programmatic Search API, task data is stored as CSRs and CARs and queried through the `taskDetails` GraphQL query, agent data is stored as ASRs and AARs and queried with `agentSession`, and queue-related data is stored as Call Leg Records (CLRs) queried with `taskLegDetails`[^48][^46][^47]. Search API queries cannot exceed a from-to span of 13 months, fetching raw AAR or CAR records is constrained to a span of at most 30 days, and paginating CSR and CLR documents returns at most 100K records[^44][^45][^43].

## Stock reports and metrics

Analyzer stock reports are pre-configured by Cisco to provide a historical overview of contact center performance across agent efficiency, customer interactions, and queue management[^50]. Reports are organized under headings including Agent Reports, Agent Trace, Auxiliary Reports, Business Metrics, Callback Report, Contact Center Overview, Multimedia Reports, My Team and Queue Stats, and Transition Reports[^49]. Stock reports are edited by creating a copy using Save As into the user's own folder[^51].

Stock reports define formulas for key metrics:[^50]

- **Contacts Handled**: Sum of Outdial Connected Count plus Sum of Connected Count[^16].
- **Average Handle Time**: Sum of Hold Duration plus Sum of Connected Duration plus Sum of Wrapup Duration, divided by Count of Contact Session ID[^5].

For RONA tracking, Cisco technote 223065 states that Webex Contact Center has no out-of-the-box Analyzer report that fully tracks and categorises all RONA occurrences[^35]. The technote provides 4 custom RONA reports (Immediate RONA, RONA between 3 to 18 seconds, RONA after default timer (18 sec) expiry, and Consolidated RONA Report), which are imported as JSON files via the Analyzer Import button[^41].

## Visualization limits and runtime behavior

Analyzer historical reports support reporting up to 13 months back from the current date[^39]. The tenant time zone serves as the default time zone, though users can select between the browser time zone and the tenant time zone[^23]. Scheduled jobs always run in the tenant time zone, whereas reports opened through browser links always run in the browser time zone[^42][^10]. Permalinks to historical reports remain active for 8 hours[^37]. For real-time monitoring, the threshold alerts list auto-refreshes every 3 minutes[^52].

| Capability or limit | Documented value |
| --- | --- |
| Historical reporting span | Up to 13 months[^39] |
| Grid visualization row limit | 100,000 rows default[^30] |
| Chart visualization row limit | 10,000 rows default[^13] |
| Export column limit | Maximum 2000 columns (Excel or CSV)[^26][^25] |
| Supported intervals for "Today" | 15-minute, 30-minute, hourly, daily[^33] |
| Cardinality operations | Return approximate values on CSR, ASR, CAR, CLR, AAR[^12] |

## Recent feature additions

What's-new updates document additions to Analyzer:[^38]

- Data filters gained combined AND and OR logical operators alongside consolidated profile variable functions (entry dated 2026-03-19)[^8].
- Custom KPI Cards with colour-coded thresholds for dashboards were added (entry dated 2026-06-11)[^34].
- A stock report linking Webex Contact Center and Webex Calling records via a shared Interaction ID enables supervisors to track calls end to end (entry dated 2026-07-09)[^53].
- A reimagined Analyzer home page combining visualizations, dashboards, and folders into a single starting point was introduced (entry dated 2026-08-20)[^38].
- A Show Full Customer Journey toggle was added to the Contact Center Overview Historical dashboard (entry dated 2026-08-20)[^29].
- A Customer Insight Report was introduced using Customer Entity data to provide customer-level views such as frequent intents, primary channel, contact activity, and Auto-CSAT (entry dated 2026-09-03)[^22].
- AI Assistant reports appear only if the organisation is provisioned with the AI Assistant add-on[^6]. Available reports include Agent Wellness Breaks, Auto CSAT, Dropped Call Summaries, Agent Summary Report, Real-time Transcription KPIs, Topic Analytics Reports, Real-Time Assist KPIs, and Post-Call and Mid-Call Summary KPIs[^7].

## Platform mappings and Webex CCE

In transition planning from Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise, Cisco Unified Intelligence Center (CUIC) maps to Webex Contact Center Analyzer[^58]. That transition guide states that Cisco manages Webex Analyzer historical data retention for up to 13 months[^57]. Conversely, the Webex Contact Center Service Offer Disclosure states that historical reporting data in cloud Webex Contact Center is retained for 36 months while a customer is active[^60]. WarmTransfer's reading of the sources is that whether the 36-month figure describes the same data as the 13-month Analyzer retention limit cannot be determined, as neither document references the other's terminology[^59].

For Webex Contact Center Enterprise, documentation names Cisco Unified Intelligence Center as its reporting platform for historical, real-time, and Live Data reports and dashboards[^56]. In the government edition, Cisco states that reporting is provided by Unified Intelligence Center with live data real-time architecture[^61]. In Webex CCE, Unified Intelligence Center users can launch Customer Journey Analyzer via an Analyzer entry in the left navigation pane, and the URL can be altered using the CLI command `set cuic analyzer url`[^54]. The Webex CCE guide describes Customer Journey Analyzer as mining historical data from multiple data sources, whereas the Webex Contact Center Analyzer guide specifies both real-time and historical data[^15]. WarmTransfer's reading of the sources is that Customer Journey Analyzer is the terminology used when Analyzer is accessed from CCE and Unified Intelligence Center documentation[^14]. Furthermore, we infer that describing Webex CCE as completely lacking Analyzer is too strong, because while Unified Intelligence Center is the primary platform, Webex CCE documents a launch path into Customer Journey Analyzer[^55].
