# AI-generated summaries for call recordings in Webex App

Canonical: https://warmtransfer.net/knowledge/webex-app-ai-summaries

Last verified: 2026-09-30

Webex App provides AI-generated call recording summaries conditioned on an organization administrator enabling Webex call recording, with no separate summary setting named[^53]. Summaries and transcripts for call recordings are currently available only in English[^52].

## Summary presentation and client surfaces

Clicking a recording displays a brief AI-generated overview summary of the content, whereas opening the recording player displays the full summary with notes and action items[^57]. Action items in an AI-generated call summary include a timestamp that navigates to the corresponding part of the recording[^51].

On mobile clients, a user can view the brief overview summary and open the player to view the transcript, but the documentation describes no full summary with notes and action items on mobile[^54]. WarmTransfer's reading of the sources is that the Webex App documentation and the User Hub player documentation describe 1 artefact accessed from 2 clients rather than 2 separate artefacts[^56]. The Webex App documentation on AI-generated summaries for call recordings never states what the summary is generated from[^55].
